Trade balance

Trade balance is the difference between a country’s total exports and total imports. A positive trade balance, or trade surplus, occurs when a country exports more than it imports, while a negative trade balance, or trade deficit, occurs when a country imports more than it exports. Trade balance is an important indicator of a country’s economic health and can have an impact on the value of its currency in the foreign exchange market.
