Stop-loss hunting
Stop-loss hunting is a controversial practice in the forex market where traders with large positions can intentionally push prices down or up to trigger stop-loss orders that are placed just below or above a key technical level. By doing this, they can force other traders to sell their positions at a loss or to buy at a higher price than they would otherwise have done. This practice can be seen as unethical and can lead to market manipulation. However, it is difficult to prove that stop-loss hunting is occurring and traders should always use stop-loss orders to protect their trades.
