Order book
The order book, also known as the “depth of market” or “level 2 quotes,” is a record of all open buy and sell orders for a particular financial instrument, such as a stock, currency, or commodity. The order book displays the current bid and ask prices, as well as the quantities of shares or contracts available at each price level. It provides traders with valuable information about the supply and demand of an asset, allowing them to make more informed trading decisions. In addition, the order book is used by market makers and other market participants to help determine the fair market value of an asset and to facilitate trading by matching buyers and sellers.
