Gross National Product (GNP)
Gross National Product (GNP) is the total value of all goods and services produced by a country’s residents and businesses, regardless of their location, in a given period of time (usually a year). It is similar to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which only measures the value of goods and services produced within a country’s borders. GNP includes the income earned by citizens and companies of a country from their investments and business activities in foreign countries, while GDP does not.
