Contract note

A contract note is a document issued by a broker or a stock exchange to an investor confirming the details of a transaction executed in the stock market. It contains important information such as the name and address of the broker, details of the trade executed (such as the name of the security, the quantity, price, and date of transaction), brokerage charges, stamp duty charges, and other charges if any. The contract note serves as evidence of the transaction and is a legal document that can be used in case of any dispute between the investor and the broker.
